The blankets displayed on this page are all made with loving care to provide warmth and support to women undergoing treatment for breast cancer or any other life threatening illness. I started making these as gifts for family members who are Breast Cancer survivors. An Aunt who is over a ten-year survivor and a sister that is a four year survivor.
As with my other blankets, people at work saw them and asked if I could make some for them and or their family members and the effort sort of grew. While making blankets for special orders from co-workers, a sister-in-law was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. The same sister-in-law who originally inspired me to make my first blankets. So of course the first thing I did was make a special blanket for her and shipped it off to her.
I have several different designs I make for these special blankets that make wonderful gifts for the special women you know who are either going through treatment for breast cancer or who are breast cancer survivors.
